My camera occupies the in-between. It creates the distance between what I see and what I represent, between my perception and how I am perceived. I am both observer and the observed, wandering through the slippery, ambiguous spectrum of my person-hood. Utilizing self-portraiture, I slip my body into the history of gender and its performativity, staking my claim within the representation of the incomplete.
